Planting 'Moonglow' Rocky Mountain juniper in full sun enhances the bluish foliage color. It grows in most well drained soils and at variable pH, but will not tolerate a wet location. It is drought tolerant and a good choice for xeric gardens. Its tall, slender growth habit fits well into a small garden. It can be planted as a stand-alone accent plant or grouped in rows as a hedge. Maintenance of this cultivar is minimal, requiring little or no pruning.
