Growing Conditions: The native range of Munro’s globemallow extends along the eastern side of the Cascade Mountain Range from southern British Columbia, south through Washington and Oregon and northeastern California, and east through much of the Great Basin and Colorado Plateau to Montana, Wyoming and western Colorado. It is also widely cultivated. It grows on dry plains, sandy washes and mountain slopes. It typically grows in full sun in dry, rocky soils and has a moderate tolerance for calcareous soils. It requires only a low amount of moisture.
